Fugazi
When I picked up Fugazi from the repair shop the owner said Martin had been in discussing something with him. So as there was a new diesel engine still boxed on a pallet by the door I think Maverick is being converted to diesel. Gordon H

Maverick Martin
....fast and furious!! Adam Could that be the name of my new craft Guys Wish me luck as today I am going for a sea trial and tuesday she will be surveyed Only one problem, as I sit here typing this the trees outside are motionless the only day when I would like some rough weather and its as flat as a f@rt. Lets hope it picks up before 10:30 If the trial is ok I will divulge what I am buying later...watch this space. Martin
Adam F
Typical init! Weeks of windy weather and the day you want to give a boat a real thrashing it goes flat! They do give the wind picking up about lunchtime - failing that you will find waves around the needles area with the big tides....hope it gos well! Maverick Martin
Dean and I went out for the sea trial today with the Karnic 2460 boat living up to the majority of our expectations. A short chop down the river sent a little spray over the driving station but when we opened her up all spray was directed away from the boat. Went into some white water off of Hurst castle and cruised through at about 20knots with no slamming and no spray into the cockpit. The 250hp diesel engine sounded as sweet as a nut but then it has only done 106 hours. She just purred with no noise issues in fact it is probably the quietest diesel powered boat I have been on She was very responsive on the throttle and will easily give us the kind of cruising speeds we are used to Have some minor issues with trim and electronics but hopefully we can do a deal with the broker/owner to get these items resolved. Looking forward to seeing the surveyors report later in the week. Suppose we had better get out and spruce up Maverick to get her ready for the open market. I will be really sorry to see her go though as we have had some fantastic times on her, but hey thats progress Martin

Bob F
Is it the walk around model, like the one at the Poole Boat show last year? Very nice boat. Perfect for the family/fishing mix. Was VERY tempted myself. BF
Swainiac
Martin, good luck with the survey. I too, will be sad to see Maverick go, as she was the first club boat I crewed on. Three years on, and how things have changed!! Part ownership as well!! Rich
