What wonderful weather for February! I read in The New Scientist that may be the UK is slipping into a 2 season year as global warming takes on a stronger hold.

Any way, with Pride of Morpork all cleaned up for sale and the new boat not ready untill April here am I gnashing my nose to the glass houses through a gift horses mouth (Who said you can't mix metaphores?).

Any way guys some nice disriptive catch reports will keep me looking forwards to getting out there again

Mad Mike

Not too lumpy on the boat I was fishing on tongue.gif

Wouldn't have wanted to be out fishing on Neo today though, well choppy. Not a breeze here in Highcliffe either, can be well deceptive looking at trees ( although the tall ones tell the story ).

Doggies to us.

F3 to F4 I would say

Not south of the needles Paul... wind aginst tide in the morning wasnt nice - 2lb + lead needed all day, and when the tide swung, the wind went east and created more fetch - most of the charter boats headed back up the solent, we had a nasty chop all day with a good 8-10' swell in the afternoon. sick.gif

Once we crossed the bridge it was much nicer - similar to where you guys were I'd guess?

Lovelly inland though Mike - I agree.

We were on Southbourne Rough and it was pretty rough. ( I stand corrected on my windspeed estimate ). However, Martin's new boat handles it really well and the waves don't look so big from a greater height smile.gif

Even got to race some speedboats back in through the harbour

Rich, I wouldnt fancy West Lepe Buoy on a strong easterly. Forecast on TV has light winds to the east of the region and light winds to the west of the region with higher winds stuck right on the IOW sad.gif

We are going to let you tell use what it is like out there.
