A day after Jas', I am proud to announce the arrival of our Merry Fisher 625

Pride of Morpork II.

We picked her up from Tom at Salterns had an excellent hand over and sea trials and I have to admit to being 'chuffed to mint balls' as they say in the Old Country.

We have left her snug in her berth at Cobbs and can't wait to get back to her to get out on the oggin now we have a poncy warm enclosed cockpit to sit in.

When you have had a chance to play with her wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif would love the first impresions report for my web site. You could always do a follow on after a good period of time.

Congrats on the new boat Mike,

Which side of F pontoon is your berth, the side nearest the slipway/refuelling berth or the side near the bank?

If on the side near the bank be carefull getting in or out on lowering tides it can get pretty shallow in places near the bank.

If on the other side -

You spawny B******

Plenty of water to play around in and you could spit to the refuelling point

We are on F19 nose in with the aft deck facing the view over Holes bay. We actualy prefer that side because on 19 there is very little passing traffic and no boats with smoking engines coming off the fuel dock or slipway.

We also met a character called Gerry who drags for ragworm, hopefully a usefull contact, leave a note on his car and a box of rag appears next day.........

I guess you are at Cobbs? Do come and have a chat mate. (bring yer own bacon, we're not made of money you know. Daddies brown sauce is on us)

Charlie to finish his now! I'm sure it wont be long.

Yes indeed, when she hits the water we will all be like little ducklings in a row behind Mother Duck laugh.gif

I think I mentioned it before, we really must get some flotilla photo's done one sunny day. I am certain the pictures will look magnificent and what a shot for the web site too smile.gif

Mad Mike

I did promise to do this last year and almost got organised, but pressure of work got in the way (no laughing any of you that no my job!) and it never happened.

I'd love to try and help and feel sure I could get a camera boat to use given half a chance and a little notice.

We did it 4 years ago when I wrote the 1st article for BFM. It turned out to be a lovely sunny day, but blew a F8+!!

We had about a dozen boats of all shapes and sizes and got some cracking shots between the 5/6 cameras on the boats - the photos are way out of date now, so would be good to do again.

Hi Mike

Seen the new boat today on F pontoon (the council estate) she looks tiptop all shinny and new. Who did you bribe to get that close to the electric? I have been trying for 2 seasons and am still waiting.

I will stop for a better look when you are about.
