Newboy Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Apparently bass were caught not far from hurst using pirk on feathers. Most good size too. Quote
Adam F Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Very common method I believe around Lymington - Simply a set of feathers with a pirk or herring attached as a weight. Theory being that under the mackeral shoals will be bass lurking to hit the macky. Stick on a pirk - voila' - dying mackeral imitation, and bobs your uncle! Quote
Maverick Martin Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 I have caught several Bass on Large Hockeye type feathers, they work a treat Martin Quote
Bob F Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Mark A had a bass on feathers last Sunday. 20 yrs ago was the last time he caught a Bass. Can you believe that!!! He was well chuffed. It was under size though, and so went back. Bob F. Am I your Uncle??? Quote
