On Thurs we were a bit stumped????

The tide predictor on my Plotter gave a different reading to the Poole tide book?? Anyone know why?

Has your plotter been set to bst?

Does your tide book allow for bst?

Your tide book will give tide times for either the quay or poole entrance which are slightly different where does your plotter calculate tidal times, to get the same reading they must both be predicting for the exact same location.

The above may seem obvious but I cant think of any other reason why they should be different.

Youre probably right! rolleyes.gif

However, I do have the plotter set to UST, and is in Auto mode for daylight saving, but still it gives me the time an hour delayed. Weird! dry.gif

Adam,

I had same problem and manually changed mine to BST. The tide times are then spot on. ( I was going to ask you the other day , why you were looking up the tide time in the book when it is on your GPS ).
