Nipper Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 billy can you arrange a pontoon for the sat night pls you said that we might get on the angling shops pontoon if we are luckey cheers mate mark b Quote
boybilly Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Hi Mark, The pontoon at the Angling club looks dodgy but have made some enquiries and found a berth for you near the town bridge. All systems go if weather plays ball mate. Looks like you lads had a good smoothie session, nice one. Went out today at 6:30am for three hours. Fished at Lulworth and had Thornbacks, doggies, wrasse and my best Bream of the year so far at 3.5lbs, Is that worth putting in the book?? Got a few marks for the comp now from one of my charter boy mates. Glad PJ can make it , should be a good one. Regards to all. BB Quote
great white Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Hi Billy You can record anything you have caught and would like added to the book, as long as it was not caught on a charter boat and was caught in the Club area. Charlie Quote
Swainiac Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 James, are you still needing crew for Fri evening????? regards, Rich Quote
Adam F Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 Rich, James is on holiday all week - but on his behalf, yes he does still need crew. Quote
boybilly Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Hi Mark, Can you post me details of Loyal Royal please, I will need them for the overnight mooring mate. I will sort the bait from this end as we don,t know the weather for certain marks yet. I am in Poole on Friday for the species hunt and I believe that the presentation is at the Marina club. I can,t make the meeting tomorrow as I need to get some bait, get my box sorted and then be up for 5 am Friday. Please give my apologies. May see you Friday or if not then please send details, ie Length, Make, Insurance, Owners name and address etc. Regards to all, BB PS Did that bloody great swimming crab work Bob ?? Quote
Swainiac Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Bob.............I'm a yes yes for the weekend I know I'm out with James on Friday evening, but as far as I know, I'm available for crew sat and sun......... Cheers, Rich Quote
Paul D Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Bob, I am going to have to switch to being Yes / No ( as in Yes fishing on Fri and/or Sat but unable to make Sunday as off to Southend ). Quote
Bob F Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Billy, The Hermits worked great. Didn't get the chance to use the swimming crab (this time). Thanks for the bait, Billy, it really made a difference. You ARE the man!!!! Quote
Bob F Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 By the way, the title of this thread should read 48 hr SPECIMEN hunt, and not SPECIES hunt. It's a competition for the best specimen and not a competition for the most species. (see Adam, I thought I saw it written as a species comp somewhere, so it wasn't another of my senior moments). Quote
boybilly Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Mark, Did you say that Loyal Royal was 6.8 mtrs.?? Perhaps you can remind me so that I can sort the overnight mooring. As it is a 48 hour Specimen hunt, are we allowed to fish for the solid 48 hours if we wish ? I ask this because I may get some conger marks that fish after dark. Regards, BB Quote
Maverick Martin Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Billy You can fish from 4pm on the friday untill 4 pm on the sunday if you wish. I intend to spend some of that time sleeping Is there many visitor berths in Weymouth? I am considering fishing your end this time Martin Quote
Adam F Posted June 6, 2004 Author Report Posted June 6, 2004 I must apoligise Bob...after all it was me who started the post!....maybe I was trying to trick you! Quote
boybilly Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Hi Maverick, All you need to do is phone the Harbourmasters Office and they can sort you out. The cost is Quote
boybilly Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I know that I am going to sound a bit dopey here, but are the specimen sizes to NFSA sizes. Regards, BB Quote
boybilly Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Can someone please tell me the length of Loyal Royal. I need to know by tomorrow so that I can organise a mooring for the week-end. Mark doesn,t seem to be on the PC at the moment. Perhaps Paul J is reading this?? Regards, BB Quote
