If so, I'll ask Ted off Due South if he can grab some Mackeral for me the day before we are due to go, that way they will be smaelly by the time we fish, what do you think?? Maverick Martin
I remember reading in one of the mags many moons ago that stingers love ragworm, is that correct? Martin
great white
When I fished out of Pompey anyone targeting them would insist on large ragworm baits. Fished in shallow warm water over mud . an incoming tide on a hot day when the mud had been warmed by the sun was the prefered times. The only one I have had onboard was caught by Wendy over rough ground in deep water on fresh Mackerel. So that blows the above theory to bits. It went 34lb by the way. Swainiac
Martin.................top baits, in theory are King Rag, and fresh Mackeral strips, but you know that Stingers can't read the textbooks!!!!! Regards, Rich The largest I have known caught off Sowley, apart from the old British shore record, was one of 37lbs.............fell to king rag
