Paul D
Fished the Lymington Cod Open Comp today with PJ as crew. No cod for us, nor for any of the other PBSBAC participants ( assuming Lady Jane did not catch another one ). Fishing was slow with one group of PBSBAC members fishing on a charter boat, Lady Jane fished as did Neo and Nipper. Nipper opted to fish inside the solent, whereas everyone else opted to fish in the "Car Park" ( aptly named as there were at least 40 boats in a small area ). As we searched harder and harder for the elusive cod, our baits ( in particular PJ's _ got bigger and bigger.......

Adam F
Yep - equally slow on Ocean Lass for Neal's party. I had a few small whiting, pout and a solitary jumbo makerel, but was fishing small to be fair, nothing on the cod front. Many thanks to Neal for organsing (and sponsoring!) the trip, a great day out nonetheless! Adam
Paul J
It was good to see a strong showing from the PBSBAC lads-at least in the attendance numbers. I personally found the use of only one rod/ 3 hooks very boring indeed. I nabbed couple of small whiting on a smaller set up while rebaiting the big baits. Two rods would have at least kept us a little busier. The comp seemed well organised but i didn't stay to see the weigh- in/presentation so i don't know how this side of things went. I managed to hand out loads of posters and many seemed keen to join us next month. PJ
lady jane
no cod on lady jane either, we spent the first part of the day trying for bass and then anchored up to the west of neo to try for the cod and whiting.no fish were landed after about one so at three we decided to go home. no dogfish for a change a dozen small bass just over twenty whiting which mainly came from a busy half hour period. we were not in the comp so were using two rods. cheers andy
Les L.
PJs picture reminded me of a good article in BFM earlier this year of how to pack on a big squid bait.I mislaid my copy, could someone who has it kindly summarize it, or better still scan and post ? Thanks Les
