reg Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Looking for a new trailor for a 165 warrior Have been quoited Quote
Afishionado Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 I am sure I am reading this wrong but are you saying it's a W 165 with a 175hp 4 stroke on the back????? Or maybe 1 x 75hp? Any way the trailer price seems bl00dy exorbitant to me, but then what do I know? Mad Mike Quote
Paul D Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 That is about the going rate for a new Indespension trailer I think. An equivalent Bramber trailer SRG.175 is quoted as Quote
plaicemat Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 The maximum engine for a Warrior 165 is 75hp. As Mike say's, either that's a mistake or be bloody careful when you wind it up! Terry. Quote
Afishionado Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Ebay is well worth a look f'rinstance these two...270221151579 130208257964 Mad Mike Quote
Coddy Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 How about this one on Boats and Outboards Ref: IND009 or this Ref: JBT345 or this Ref: JBT344 I would say you have been over quoted. Coddy Quote
reg Posted March 28, 2008 Author Report Posted March 28, 2008 Sorry lads it was a slip of the finger it is a 75 lump and thanks for all the reply's Reg Quote
duncan Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 almost a shame when I got to the final post Reg - "ballsy" was my initial thought! as has been pointed out - you have been quoted the usual price for that trailer new. this leaves you a number of alternatives. I would just highlight that there is a good reason that used trailers are significantly discounted! If you are happy with the provenance then you can get a bargin but if not you can end up with a money pit. You have about 2 weeks before demand rockets .......... and in 6 weeks you will be begging for one! Quote
Adam F Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Reg, I'd go new - knowing the amount of towing you guys do. Going for an Indespension isnt the only option though, their are a couple of companies that do good self centering roller trailers - Nicholson, Bramber etc One point to note though - make sure you get one with 32 rollers - Warrior only insure their hulls on these as the ones with 16 create too many stress points on the hull. That said I have heard and seen loads of 165's not on 32 roller trailers, but this is advise from Warrior themselves. All the best Quote
reg Posted March 28, 2008 Author Report Posted March 28, 2008 We have found a chap that will make a trailor up to whatever the boatmakers specs are and for the 165 has said he will do one for Quote
