It was with a little sadness that I took Quest II off her mooring in Weymouth for the last time on Sunday evening.

No, I haven't sold her. Whilst I love boating in Weymouth I (and the guys) simply weren't getting the use from her and so she now has a brand new home.

Parkstone Bay Marina!

I am a proper Poole Bay boater now. With luck I shall be able to get out far more often. Even if not for full days, evening trips will always be on the cards and I would hope that our old girl will now get the usage she deserves.

All will be welcome and whilst she is no speedboat, I 've never had any concerns that she would get to where she was going, in any weather.

Can't wait to get her cleaned up for the season ahead.

Pity for all your hot Weymouth marks to go to waste! I'll happily look after the numbers for you!

Seriously I hope the change of venue works well for you and look forward to hearing the catch reports!

Thanks guys.

This was kind of a forwarning that I am going to be just like a newbie now and keep asking for tips and advice on the area!

Anyone got any good wreck numbers for 15 to 30 miles off?

....that one is for Crazy Fred and Charlie

Anyone got any good Bream numbers?

....that's for everyone

Anyone got any good Bass numbers?

....guess that's too much to ask?

Cheers all

all the best in your new home Tom

bream marks - absolutely everywhere; but of course the bream don't have the same charts so they might not actually be there when you are

bass marks - loads and loads and loads; but some people think they are private property........

wrecks............hahaha! I usually head SW and end up in the same ones you already know SE of Weymouth. I don't think there are any that consistently fish for cod or pollack at all - just as you will have found with the ones you fish 'out west'.

That's just the touble.

I have a couple of Summer time dead certs and a few Winter dead certs, but they are a long way from her home now....

I'll have to get out to the rips this year for a go if anyone fancies joining or buddying with me.

We may have to leave a shortwhile befor you lot in your flying machines.

16-18 kts for a nice cruise back from the rips - it's rare I want to travel faster although if it's really flat I may run at 24 for longer runs.........35 is reserved for when the bar is closing or we have run out of beer onboard (last June into St PP for example...but we couldn't shake AWOL!)
