First Service for Neo

Had my engine in for its first service. I have clocked up 214 Engine hours.

I will have to compare charts with PJ

 

Now for another 3 years.

I wish mine was every 300 hrs

 

Oil and filter changes every 100hrs , and with these offshore trips the hours fly by.

That's the reason I asked. I too have an E Tec ( 75 )

I chose my boat with an E Tec, on the advice of Tony ( Fat Chance ) He has a Raider 18 with a 90 E Tec.

I follow the reports of performance and service costs etc. very closely.

I've got an Etec 60 and have had no problems with approx 350 hours on the clock.

Had my 3 year service 2 months ago

They are very popular, Gazza ( Whitey Bitey ) runs one as well.

 

I was determined to buy a 4 stroke untill i heard of the service costs ( and the weight )

jim,

 

most people seem very happy with their E-tec`s but i am not too pleased with mine,quite a few problems plus the over all build quality is very weak and easily broken,(take a close look at the hood catches and the wrap around shell) very flimsey

 

I would not buy another one but i think i would go for the Japanese makes, as with their cars they are very good

 

Paul can you remember the cost of the service for the 60 E-tec as mine is due in the next 8 months
