The best way is to go to a diesel engineering establishment (supply, repair, recon) and ask for a reconditioned unit. If you mention cash, they sometimes have one 'under the counter' that hasn't gone through the books. Not that I condone this practice in any way. I have a very amenable chap locally so, if you can give me the part number, I can get you a quote to either give you an idea or get one for you. Not ideal, I know, as I live a fair way away but if it is a decent saving, it could be worth it.
