Bream on Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 At last , a day off without the wind blowing put a smile on my face . Rounded my lads up and headed down to the boat. Bass was the target .Heading to our mark we put our live baits out for our first drift on the ebb, resulted in a screaming run and a dropped bait . The next drift resulted a 5lb er in the net. This was followed by a fish of 8lbs to Stuart. A few more drifts later resulted in a double hook up with an 8lb 6oz fish to me and a 6lber to Stuart. Jonathan managed a few smaller fish of 2 and 3 lbs . More fish followed, when Jon had a screaming run . Putting the reel in gear , the rod pulled round at an alarming rate!! After many screaming runs and powerful dives the net slipped under a real corker of a fish , that pulled the scales down to 13lb 6oz .What a beauty !! Returned to come back bigger next time !! We continued to catch many good fish in the 6- 8lb + range through the ebb in an unbelievable day. The majority of fish were returned , as what can only be described as a RED LETTER DAY !!!!
