Adam F
I would like to introduce the latest boat to the PBSBAC fleet - 'Joint Venture' With the help of a few kind members, we slipped her into Poole Harbour at 9am this morning. The launch went faultlessly, and she is everything Bob and I had hoped for and more (except we now want a bigger one !!) We had a short run up the harbour to the chain ferry and back, and managed a respectable 30 knots without really straining the Volvo - 20 knots was a lovely cruising speed. Thanks to Tom for sorting the launch at Parkstone Bay Marina and showing us the ropes (litterally) and the channels in and out. Alun, Gordon and Will turned up armed with cameras and champagne to christen her - thanks guys. A few other thanks - Charlie and Dan who helped with a big box of kit from Alfresco and more importantly helped getting the engine in. Trev (Wedger) for towing us to Poole 2 weeks ago. Finally - a huge thanks to Peter Russell (jnr) who without his help we would still be sat on a trailer in my drive and would have made numerous mistakes! His help and advice were priceless I've pulled together a short clip of the build here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IoHdp6tj_48&...re=channel_page [doHTML]<param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">[/doHTML] Edited December 21, 2008 by Paul D

fransy73
Hi Adam, she looks beautiful in the water!! Absolutely a stunning boat, so congratulations with it and hopefully a lot of fish will come on board! 30knots sounds also very good so hopefully she will reach 35+ when she really runs flat out. Cheers, Frans

I will no doubt take a stroll over tomorrow to see Dan and have a look when is the maiden fishing trip? We are out Tue and wed if you want a fly by photo or two give us a call. I hope you have as much fun with her as we do with Alfresco. see you afloat soon. Charlie

Sinbad
Very very nice! - well done chaps.... Alun tells me that the trim is self adjusting once the fuel tanks are filled up. Certainly will be with you and bob standing at the stern hauling conger.. be nice if you could sneak out to join us at the Needles tuesday???? Promise to take some good photos..... Anyway, nice to know its safely afloat and just round the corner from Alfresco and Imagine... much better location IMHO, than other side of the bridge... Bet the first fish aboard is a Whiting! great white
I forgot to say I am working in the morning, if you are on the boat call me or better still pop her into PYC haven and say hello. I am sure the manager will find you a space and he may even buy you both a coffee to wash down all that bubbly. well done both. Cheers Charlie
Bob F
It will be through-hull. At the moment its just laying on the floor of the battery bay until we find the optimum location and then bond it in. BF
