TomBettle Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) Heads Up Lads Please be aware that there is a spate of thefts going on at the moment. The police are pretty sure they know who is doing it, where the gear is being sold off through and even what boats the thieves are using. So far, they have not been caught in the act, but please report ANY suspicious activity to the Police on 01202 222222 or if it is a crime in progress, obviously call 999. The little shites are taking aux outboards, easy to nick electronics, onboard tools etc. They are arriving and leaving by boat and the kit they are helping themselves to is moved on almost instantly so please can we all be vigilant. Rob Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 That is a serious amout of kit! Be on Ebay no doubt - tell him to look out for it on there! There was a story I heard that a guy had his tent stolen from his shed\garage, went on Ebay to look for another one and found his! His nextdoor neighbour was arrested!!! Rob Quote
gjb Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I had my starboard nav light nicked off the boat 4 weeks ago and my car broken into last week and it's all our fault for owning it graham Quote
Jim Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 And I suppose when they are caught, The Magistrate will blame the credit crunch and let them go! There's a lot to be said for cutting fingers off in my view. Jim Quote
