petesnr
Once had a similar occurence losing ugly stick and tld10. When I went to tackle shop to remonstrate over breakage of rod holder was quietly advised that reels have drags and these should be set so that this does not happen!! They did replce the holder but I have never trusted it since. P
Wedger
would it not be claimable on your home possessions insurance? I've looked at that one before. Certainly my insurance co. cover sporting goods outside the home - but only whilst in transit and NOT actually in use. plaicemat
So, was it in use or being 'transported' in the rod holder? Terry.
Rob
I threw an ugly stick overboard once, wasn't mine though!!!! Damn line got caught round the tip ring and the flick I was doing turned in to a flop, with the weight snatching the ro dout of my hands! One day I will return to Dartmouth and catch it back!!! great white
Its worth checking the cost I have some tackle all risks on my house policy. I know that does not help you at the moment, and no intention to rub salt in. But others may want to consider it, we seldom have all the gear in one place butt is mostly covered and I do not think it added much cost to the policy. Paul D
Charlie, I have mine on the policy too. Barely added a penny to it
Manic Moore
I also claimed for a rod and reel when on Blue Warrior. The rod holder feel down while Adam was hammering along and in it went. The combination of TLD 15 full of braid and a Conolon made it worth claiming Regards Gordon
