Maverick Martin
Several people have asked the question how do I embed full size photos in a post. Hopefully the following post will help you do that.To upload full size photos on this site you must first store your images on a hosting website. This can be Photobucket or similar or you can start your own gallery on this site by clicking the photo gallery button above and following the instructions there. After you have started your new topic and you get to the point where you want your picture to appear click on the IMG button above and to the left of the posting box. A new window will appear, in here you will need to put the URL (address) of your photo then click okTo find the URL of a picture open your picture in a new window or tab. Click on your photo to open it, right click the photo, a new box will open, click on properties for yet another new box to appear, highlight the URL (address) then copy it into your open IMG box, click ok and it should now be implanted in your postIf when you click on the IMG button you get a message like Error! You must enter a URL click ok then on the error message bar above select the option Temporarily allow scripted window now reselect the IMG button and continue as aboveIf you have any further questions either post here, PM or phone meMartin

Maverick Martin
the address for the above picture is http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/photoalbum/albums/..._july-small.jpg which is not what you have so Open picture, right click, click on properties, look down to URL and highlight the whole addy then copy and paste into the IMG box Martin
Maverick Martin
Do not use the address in the file information box remember right click on photo then click on properties and get the address from here Martin

Maverick Martin
Dave Well done you have kind of worked it out only trouble is the photos are now to big for the forum, this forces people to pan left, right and up and down to view the picture and whatever content is written in the post. When you find the picture you want do not open it full size right click on the preview size photo to get the address. In most cases this will be large enough although it will depend on what size was originally uploaded to the hosting site. Your piccy would have come out like this Cheers Martin

Graham Nash
Ok ... so ... I put my pictures onto photobucket. I open the picture i want and right click it, scroll down to properties and right click that too. A new grey window appears with all sorts of bumph in it, I scroll down to the "address (URL) and highlight it. I copy it. I then open this website and forum and click IMG (above) this opens a new window at the top of the screen which i highlight and paste the already copied picture. I then have a load of writing inbetween brackets. All looking good so far so i now hit "add reply" below and .......... I get "Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed" I have done this about a million times, obviously i am doing something wrong, but cannot think what! Paul D
It will be because the extension at the end of the filename needs to be something like ".tif". What is the exact string between the tags ?
great white
Hi Graham I have found the clue to be what has been shown on your post between the two The problems incurred last time, was I think due to the fact that I had named the pictures when resizing. The names were long and not all was shown when viewing properties. When I had draged to select and then copied I had in fact not been copying the while address including .JPG on the end. I find resizing images to 800 by 600 is best, then I save them to the photo gallery on here. I then open the forum again on a second tab Have one tab open on the thread and the other on the photo gallery, just swapping between the two. easy then to click the required photo, click the image once to get full size up, right click image, left click properties Now where it says address; Select everything from http to .JPG right click and copy Now go back to the thread, click the IMG button [i have to temporary allow scripted window first] then paste the copied URL address in the drop down window [ over the top of the highlighted text. Quick check to see all of the URL is there and then click OK Then add reply It has taken a lot longer to explain how to do it, than it does to do, so I hope it works for you Charlie Edited October 24, 2010 by great white
Graham Nash
it is http://i513.photobucket.com/albums/t332/gr...pg?t=1287935675 between two brackets.
great white
Graham in the above reply used the IMG button and then I pasted http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/photoalbum/albums/...al_P1010927.JPG and it worked

great white
well done Graham I do believe you have it. when I copy the pics frome my camera I resize all of the ones going to the gallery to 800x600 it seems to be the prefered size for our forums [and of course they all look the same in the threads] Charlie
Maverick Martin
Graham Your first pictures are perfect size wise but don't go bigger that will make panning across the page a necessity to view any pics and wording Easy when you get it init Martin
