Gas,

Yep - it's about 70 miles to the island, but as charlie says day 1 tends to be 100+, day 2 100+ and any day local to the island about 50 odd.

For a 3 day trip safe to assume 250 miles max. We did 279 over the 4 days last time.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is looking better by the day chaps.

I'll be making a call on Weds, provided Rach is still OK and the weather holds.

LW at Poole is 7am, so the plan is to get weaving early (say 5am) to beat the tide and get the back of the journey done.

I have a busy day at work Monday so I'll be aimed to be back by 3pm on the Sunday to allow clean down etc.

PJ and Alun J are on with me.

Wight Magic is buddying.

I Texted Adam a couple of times today

They had a couple of drifts to break up the trip and a few pollack to about 10lb.

and then on to the banks by about 11.

I believe JV had 5 Turbot and a brill on the banks today in about 4 hrs and are there all day tomorrow.

Sounds fun
