Bay Rod

I am looking for a rod I can use for the bream and smaller species in the bay. 6-12lb class

Dan and I bought some rods at Christmas, they are Diawa Kensaki

the ones we bought were 30/50 but sem to be a very light action.

 

Will who regulary fishes with us bought one of the lighter ones, and I bought a 6-12 version when in Alderney for breaming/bassing.

 

 

over the months our confidence has grown with these rods, so much so that they are being used pollacking over wrecks and cod fishing on the summer cod marks.

 

Now we are used to them they are fast becoming favorites

Have a look at the 6lb class AWA SHIMA Ugly rods they have in Wessex Angling. A true 6lb class rod and wont break the bank at 39.99 - unlike anything you traditionaly would buy made for UK waters.

Hi Dave,

 

I have a Fladen Maxumus IM8 triple tip 2-3-4oz but will take 6oz.

It comes in 2 lengths 8ft and 10 ft,I have the ten footer.

It is light enough to hold all day if you want and has fantastic action with power in reserve in case you hook into something decent,comes with 3 tips and Fuji Sic Guides.

diawa vitesse 8lb tc 7ft....i have had a pair for 18 months and they are amazing......superb action, and among the most stunning looking rods ive seen....great value aswel! I have footage of me playing a 15lb thornie in a screaming tide somewhere! What an action!
