Maverick Martin
I am easy for anyday, anyplace, anytime I just need to wet a line Easterly winds are no good for fishing wemouth or poole as no shelter available at either location so it looks like sunday is out at those locations. Westerley winds as forecast for sat are a possibility as shelter available at both ports but I dont fancy travelling all the way to weymouth for small pollock, pout and wrasse when I could catch that inshore from Poole Any other thoughts Martin
Bob F
Unless someone has a brilliant idea, I think I will give it a miss this weekend. Gotta take the kids to Thorpe Park tomorrow to throw up on the roller coasters, and so I don't fancy a Force 6-8 on Sunday to throw up again!! The only things I can suggest is mullet fishing in Christchurch Harbour, or perhaps the Solent will have a sheltered spot IF the wind is SSE?? Bob F. Paul D
I am going to go for the Solent on Saturday as the forecast is superb for that day. Just need to persuade someone to crew for me - err. was superb when I looked yesterday !! Tides are such that a 9 AM start is feasible and the forecast for the afternoon ( Sat ) was force 0-1 SSE when I looked yesterday. Sea state calm. High tide is something like 12. I will look up the weather when I get in, but Sun is definitely too iffy for me ( weatherwise ). Solent forecast as of now is :- Valid for 6 hours from 0600 GMT Saturday Wind: W, Force 2 or 3 ( 6 - 10 mph) Weather Mainly cloudy Sea State Slight Visibility 10 miles Valid for 6 hours from 1200 GMT Saturday Wind: WSW, Force 2 or 3 ( 5 - 10 mph) Weather Mainly cloudy Sea State Slight Visibility 10 miles

Maverick Martin
Its official Weymouth is cancelled due to weather. As the forecast our end is slightly better I shall now be fishing out of Poole on saturday. Martin
Adam F
Yes, as Martin says - the Weymouth trip has been postponed due to bad weather. It will be re-organised in the next few weeks, and Ill post the new dates here. The replacement trip is to be from Poole. Blue Warrior with whippet, and Maverick with Pete Snr are launching from Poole at 9.00am - any other boats are welcome. Cheers Adam
