Rob
In your Avatar you show the boat on a trailer - can you not pull her out at Baiter and fix in the car park?
Jim
Hiya Dave, Just found this on Google images. Try searching the net for help _ re your model. I changed one years ago. It shouldn't be too bad if you can " tinker " with cars & mowers etc. Jim

Freddie
I have a Mercury 60HP from 1987 electric start, but I also have instructions on how to connect a starter rope so if you think these would be of any help then please let me know & I will e-mail them to you. Handy to have if it ever happens again as a back up. `Freddie`
pirky
Thanks to all .......I did the repair the following day on a pontoon. Jimmy at Parkstone Bay Marina towed Now or Never in for me and I was able to do it in the calm of the marina. I apologise for not responding sooner but my pc notifier seems to have switched off ???? I would be grateful if any one can tell me if it is possible to start the engine without taking the top cover off the fly wheel. Mine needed sockets to reach the bolts to remove this...will have to get some for the boat tool box Thanks again Dave
