Gas
Well lady luck seems to be still with us, as we had no real plan we went east as i drew closer to the mark i could see that there were at least two boats close to the mark On a closer inspection it turned out to be two club boats The Grinch and Jo Jo had a quick chat to find both already into fish so off to the mark pick down, just lately, it seems to be working out well with two rods out each and different baits, first rod full Mackerel flapper and the second whole squid, Jackies first rod whole squid tipped with Mackerel second rod Mackerel chunks after 10 mins flapper rod just starting to nod also Jackie getting bites the now named Conger rod had a run, looked at Jackie and told her to get the butt pad which she handed to me, no not for me you put it on i think it
Paul D
Craig, That big ray that Jackie is holding looks like a Small Eyed ray to me and a very good sized one as well. Anyone else agree ? 11lb 5oz Small Eyed Ray IMHO ( and I would report the catch as over 100% specimen ( although someones Eel is a bit bigger ! )
Barney
Good report craig. It was nice to meet you albeit very brief. I think we boated 8 rays in total of different types. First rays ive caught afloat so i was really pleased. what really suprised me was the number of good sized bream we caught. Nothing big but all dinner plate size, we must have had 20 plus.( dont panic all were returned for another day ) With a cuttle fish Garfish and plenty of Mackeral it was a very enjoyable day. great white
Can not really tell from the last two pics but top three are small eyed forth thornback, fifth looks like a spotted. Not sure of the other. Certainly sounds like the forthcoming ray comp will be a blast. well done Jackie and Craig very good angling Charlie

Paul D
Craig, If you were fishing where you had your eel you won't catch any Blonde Rays there.
Freddie
Once again a good read with great pics/fish. Please you had some batteries this time. We are just back from the Algarve though I wish I had been in Poole but the wife `forced me to go`. My heart was in Dorset with all my toys. I feel like a battered husband... please help!
