great white Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Recently I had a problem with the deckwash pump, it just stopped working and started popping the circuit breaker. During discussions with Jabsco by email I was sent docs and an exploded diagram. On reading them I was reminded that the pump has a two year warrenty. The pump had been bought new and fitted more than two years ago, but the boat not launched until Nov 2007. I returned the pump to Cleghorn Waring last week with a covering letter to see if they could sort out the problem under waranty. Yesterday I received a brand new unit. No chasing, no quibbling Just good customer service Well done them. Charlie Quote
Sinbad Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) Failure of Deckwashes!!!!!!! Me too!!!! I bought mine from Galeforce marine via the internet 3 years ago, and likewise a year ago it stoped dead. So in the end I took it off and connected it up to the car battery, and no joy. then stripped it down , and realised that there wasnt anything to repair inside They replaced it withina week no questions asked Just recently, it has been playing up - refusing to start immediately, but springing to life after a few minutes. Last week it just wouldnt start at all. Also it had been blowing fuses like Charlie's. so suspecting the presure switch - I bridged across this by joining the connectors together and bingo - like a new pump! However, after removing the pressure switch I found it was open circuit at all times, so ordered a new one ( Edited October 24, 2009 by Sinbad Quote
