  1. Lazy start with Geoff Lambert this morning and motored in friendly conditions to Bmth pier area - no mackerel so went to Boscombe pier - same result except for Geoff catching a tub double on the feathers. So it was to Southbourne to target plaice. They were few and far between - no doubt many have been unable to dodge the copious nets. However we pressed on to find tubs and grey gurnards and to great surprise a red mullet, plus the odd mackerel to the lazy line. Eventually a plaice put in an appearance - followed by several others - one of good size. As the day drew on we moved west and drifted near Boscombe pier and then Bmth pier where i latched into the smallest thornback ray i've ever seen. All in all a good day - fine weather and a northerly wind to make it even more comfortable.

  3. It's pretty clear. We aren't allowed to take any Bass. But it will be discussed later this month. If we are allowed to take Bass after that we'll be notified by the official bodies. Probably not via memes with typos on Facebook. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-J530F using Tapatalk

  4. Indeed - with the lead up to it being W \ SW winds I am expecting it to be good around ballad\swanage etc, the predicted swell is WSW too, again in out favour. All watching with baited breath. With a finish at 15:00 i hope we are going to miss most \ if anything. By 14:00 we shoudl be scratching around the Cobb's pontons for a lesser spotted 3 horned pipefish. Rob
