Very slow day in the bay

lazy 9am start with Geoff. Went out in favourable sea to an area south of Old Harry and dropped the NEW anchor. Baits set. After a while a sizeable whiting responded to baited feathers. With another couple dropped. Then a doggy on the bottom trace, The wind rose making it uncomfortable so it was up anchor and into the harbour where we tied off in the north channel and had a comfortable lunch in the sun and being sheltered from the cold wind it was quite pleasant. No bites to worms and a 30 minute drift of the main channel brought no response either so it was back to Cobbs for fuel and a cursory clean. Typical February session for us - thanks for the company Geoff.

    Super anti foul trick

Last year I added some copper oxide and zinc oxide powders to my anti foul paint. This was a tip shared by another boater on the WSF site. I had Tarlach lifted out Thursday ready to do this seasons AF treatment. In all honesty I should have saved my £265 because, the AF was as good as the day it was applied. No growth whatsoever (apart from a slight moustache on the water line). I would highly recommend this to people as a trial treatment for your own boats. Minimal cost and the same result as copper coat treatment !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Super anti foul trick

Doing this to your anti foul is no different to having a copper coat treatment applied to your boats hull, and that’s legal . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Super anti foul trick

Hi i am all for saving money and keeping the boat clean my only concern is some anti fouling was removed from the market for environmental reasons with this in mind our we going to damage the seas we spend most of our time trying to protect ? Just a thought graham

  11. How much of each did you put in your 2.5 litres of antifoul paint? A lot of questions I know but all are relevant
