Ballcocks, so where do we go for recompense? At least with the old Poole bridge if there is a problem with one leaf the other can be lifted. With twin fails if its broke we are stuffed. Most Mariners told pbc that this bridge was the wrong bridge in the wrong place but they wanted beauty over form. Now residents, boat owners, businesses and the rnli are paying the cost of pbc vanity3 points -

Next weekend sees the Bream competition, weather is looking variable so keep watching and reading. Andy at Poole Sea Angling also holds his Bream Comp that day, supplying bait and tackle and advice I am sure. Pre order your rag with him a day or two beforehand

IMO the best thing the powers that be could do was to lift both leaves and leave them lifted - just use the town bridge as in previous times for road traffic.1 point -

Hi, I have had a bit of a sort out and have two kids life jackets going spare if anyone can make use of them ? The yellow one is a crewsaver 150N performance lifejacket for kids between 15-30kg . And the red/orange is a crewsaver 100N for kids between 30-40kg. Both have whistles, safety harness buckled on the back and groin straps! A small donation to HOW. Brian where did you see the announcement as I would like to give them my thoughts1 point -
When they made the announcement they said, Town Bridge will lift as normal. As if that helps. The trouble is, PBC won't be held accountable, they will just shrug their shoulders and carry on, there's no way of charging them with wasting pubic money.1 point
