Mark, our club is run almost totally on honesty. ie: if you say you caught a fish you did catch a fish. If you are unsure of a fishes id then do post a photo and the members will help you out on the id of your catch. Photos would be nice in reports just to spice things up a bit. There are no large prizes to win so anyone who (shall we say) exaggerates their catches is only fooling themselves. The only comps we run that require a weigh in is (I believe) our Christmas flounder comp and that is a purely social event which again only offers a small hamper plus other bits and bobs as prizes. When we used to run an annual open comp which was a little different as there were high value prizes which may have been tempting for some. Also non club members could enter so in this comp we were shall we say a little more careful on fairness

Hi All, It’s been a while since I posted here (or on any forum!), and a while since I’ve been out fishing! I’ve recently moved back to Poole, so looking forward to getting out in the summer and remembering how to catch a fish again! Hopefully see some of you on the water. Dan

Anglers Against Pollution Success... But the Fight Goes On Dear Supporter, March saw the first success on the campaign trail for Anglers Against Pollution as the Government announced plans to stop dumping raw sewage in to our rivers. This is long overdue and is a positive step forward in securing a cleaner future for our waterways. We're not out of the woods yet though, and we will continue working hard to ensure these plans are put into action and that they're robust. We also welcomed the news that trawling will be banned in more than 100 square miles of seabed off Sussex to allow kelp forests to recover and fisheries to thrive once again. The local sea angling community was instrumental to getting this ban in place after years of lobbying, showcasing how passionate anglers are as environmental stewards. We are delighted to be collaborating with researchers from Bournemouth University and the University of York on a survey designed to better understand shark angling in the UK, so please get involved if you target any shark species here in Britain. Read More Sussex Trawling Ban Supported by Sea Anglers A new bylaw has been approved to prohibit trawling year-round in more than 100 square miles of seabed off Sussex. The sea angling community in Sussex played a key role in the public consultation process led by the Sussex Inshore and Fisheries Conservation Authority (SxIFCA) and are highly supportive of the decision to ban trawling in this area to help the recovery of kelp forests and improve fisheries. In my SPARE time . . . . . . . . . . . . We cleaned the pond out due to cracks and lined it. We had to make it frog friendly or as Wallace & Gromit would say " innable & outable " So I dreamed up a Frog Walkway for them. Just fitted it in place. And Zoomed in: Posh Frogs !
