This news, welcomed by anglers, was secured by Bluefin Tuna UK, with the support of the Angling Trust. On 23rd April 2021, Cefas and Defra confirmed that an English CatcH And Release Tagging (CHART) program for Atlantic Bluefin Tuna will operate in the waters of the South and West in Autumn 2021. Admiralty Pier has been a mecca for sea anglers for over 100 years with the Dover Sea Angling Association having held events on the pier since 1903. It is at the heart of both the local sea angling community in Kent, and the national community, with anglers travelling from across the country and locally to fish off the pier. Admiralty Pier is a location with huge cultural and historical significance and is a vital sea angling hotspot that supports the local economy and delivers many social benefits to society such as its contribution to health and wellbeing. The good news is that when the correct fishing and handling techniques are used, scientific evidence suggests that the survival of the sharks we release is extremely high. Unfortunately, when either of these factors are sub-optimal, their survival can be severely impacted and although the fish may swim away strongly, they can die within a few days. definately, but i dont want to be on a swing mooring. I really loath the distance to get out from rockly to the bay, but you do get a lot of flexibility from them. If i want to swap to go on the racks to take my trailer for a service, all i have to do is ask and they do it. If i need to drive in and park up the car next to my boat so i dont have to carry everything, there is plenty of room to do it. and they dont charge extra to keep your trailer there. and if the kids dont want to come out on the boat, they can play on the beach at rockly or go into the haven holiday park facilities.

Weather not as good as forecast but ok. 10 or so bream, best approaching 2lb. Lost the best one on the way up, proper fighting fish. 4 yaks out and 3 boats including Boblin3 Back on the beach at midday

Saved the cost of new filters etc. I had no idea until it started misfiring. Reminded me of my old Vauxhall Chevette !

Looking at the met forecasts, the weather doesn't look too promising which is a shame as I was going to make it my opening event for the new boat. I'll wait and see. Terry.
