    F f f fished f f for plaice

Can’t believe how bloody cold it still is? Decided to avoid the bream bashing and look for some flatties. Weather was crap first thing but at least it wasn’t windy. Three small plaice and one good one. Off the water by lunchtime as I’d had enough of winter fishing

    Bream Comp 8-9th May

Invited out on Marichelle Today! Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuvly! Mick picked me up at 07:30 and off we went to the secret Plaice mark. Then had a change of plan and went to the secret Bream mark in stead. " Secret " being the operative word. Even the flipping Bream didn't know where it was. Mick had 3 small ones and I had one small one & a Doggy. Several cups of coffee and cheese rolls later we moved to the secret Plaice mark and . . . . . . . Yep! Even the plaice didn't know where it was. We did manage a few small ones and a couple of Goalies. Mick called them "Keepers" but I knew what he meant ! ! ! I was outfished all day by Mick but I really enjoyed it so thank you Mick. Good to be out again. Jim

  4. April Fish of the Month winner. 1st Place; Colin Francis Black Bream 3lb 13oz 109% Specimen £25 Voucher 2nd Place; Steve Loftus Undulate Ray 16lb 1oz 100% Specimen 3rd Place; Pete Russell snr Black Bream 3lb 4oz 93% Specimen Reports of good fish being being caught at times and reflected with Lofty hauling a cracking specimen Undulate on board his kayak. An outstanding achievement as they can be a handful at that size. Well done Lofty. Also with this months results the Bream have turned up for some sport. All winner vouchers from last year and this year are with Andy at Poole Sea Angling Centre until we are able to resume presenting them again at the monthly meetings. Fingers crossed that will be in the very near future. 🤞🤞 Please keep adding any catches to the “Report a Catch” and you will be in with a chance of a £25 voucher as well as keeping records up to date. (Very easy to do too) An observation over the last few weeks has been the “Fisheries Officers” patrolling in their Rib, checking on catches and quantities being kept. If any rules are being broken expect the worst as they will make an example of you to deter others.
