The pond at the Hamworthy end of Upton park is in a sorry state and the lack of rain has left the last bit of water with so little oxygen that the fish are dying. Some plucky kids and their mums have waded in to save some. Just a few of the dead fish are lined up in the foreground. They were concentrating on saving the live ones so many more still in the muddy water. They tried phoning various agencies without any sensible answers so they felt that something had to be done.
