My adult son and myself took the 2 youngest grandchildren out yesterday into the harbour. For one of them it was his first ever time fishing. I suggested one adult and one child form a team against the other adult and child. THEY decided it would be kids v adults! Unfortunately THEY started well! With both catching fairly decent fish within minutes (of the skipper putting them on the fish 😉 ) Within 15 minutes it was 3 . 0! With one bass measuring 47cm! By the end of the trip (2 1/2 hours) it was 12 . 2 and id had enough of being wupped by a couple if 7 year old!

Headed out yesterday with my mate Gaz in search for whatever was out there. Was advised by the tackle shop not to waste my time looking for mackerel…I didn’t cos there seams to be very few about! Headed out to the banks and set the anchor on a small area. Fish from the off…thornback, bream, conger and my mate Gaz had a lovely trigger fish. Was going to stay out all night but the chop got up in the afternoon and didn’t want to anchor off studland for the night in an on shore wind…looks lovely today though ! Hindsight and all that 😁

how is the fishing going out there Martin? Ive got a day off and was considering getting out of the harbour to see if i can get a bend in my rod .... no 7 year olds this time!
