    January fish

While I sit here waiting to get rid of an awfull bug, picked up at New Year. Wendy sent me a montage of January fish that popped up on her phone. I thought I would share it, in case anyone needed encouraging to get out, if weather allows. Not all pictures are from home waters. Lol Happy dangling all.

    January fish

I got out for a few hours yesterday; the conditions were good...sun, relative calm, medium tide... BUT....the fishing was hopeless !! No whiting, no bass ...just a few annoying congers and dogfish. I'll blame the murky water and drop in temp...now around 6C in the bay. Alun.

  4. Max, as always we raise the same issues and discuss what they want to deploy. Our issues are always fish stock related and whether commercials are sustainably fishing or depleting stocks until they crash before SIFCA or the MMO decide to act due to crisis. We are sending our agenda items for inclusion in the meeting.

  6. Will be going to the evening one. Hope to be there about 5 pm. Will try and raise at least the following. Trawler(s), Inshore netting, lack of Mackeral, maps and coordinates of MCZ'S, lack of size limit and quotas for Guiltheads. Please add others below as we also have an on line Zoom with Fisheries at the end of Jan/ start of February. Allan

  8. December's worthy winner is Chris with his photo's of Kingfisher's engine undergoing rebuild in his garage. Hope all goes well Chris and no parts are missed, oilway's blocked or bolts not tightened.
