Top right hand side of the forum is a button called Create. I am testing that this little used function works. Club members have access to some forums and processes by simply using the drop down box from the Create button. This can save time finding the forum heading you want by taking you direct to a page ready to post. Admin have access to a lot more. This is all in advance of our newly updated/ported site. More info to come later BTW thanks for noticing and taking an interest

Performance and fuel consumption She is fitted with a Volvo D4 260 through a DPH drive and Duo Props Which gives us a WOT speed of 31knots and cruising speed of about 18-20knots with an acceptable fuel consumption To get the same performance via a shaft would need 400plus Horsepower. and therefore higher fuel consumption. The price of fuel is 150% dearer now than when she was launched, so I am glad we went that way. My sons and I are all Marine Engineers, so we do our own maintenance. This too was an important factor in the decision making process.

I can still remember how many times I read the setting out instructions, before cutting that hole in the transom. Lol. Apparently taking my two lads to the beach and just sitting there reading, is "so boring"

Thanks Jerry. If only I could make some money from it in stead of just spend, spend, spend. I'm changing tack a bit with the drone. I'm currently creating a 3D model of Knowlton church near Wimborne from photographs ( photogrammetry ) Struggling for time at the moment though with all the DIY ( oh and that other thing . . . work )

Your either a talented guy Jim, or filming from a drone is easy😜🤣 I think the latter, great shots of Martin and Tony’s boat😀
