Wight Magic alderney report
A few wrecks on the way over produced a few pollack
but we mainly wanted to fill up with mackeral
because it gave us more options round the island
We tried one of the banks closest to alderney no luck
so moved in for the tope which for some reason we
found hard work but did managed a few upto 30lb
Day 2 saw us down to the shoale bank
we gave it a hard try all day we managed 5 turbot
biggest went upto 6 lb 8oz
Day 3 we went and tried the tope again no good
so we moved of to another bank
just as we turned up so did the fog
but the fishing was much better
we managed 6 turbot and 1 brill going 4lb 10oz
Day 4 started fog bound but after a couple of calls
from True Blue telling us the conditions were improving
we left alderney to head home via a few wrecks
first wreck saw afew small pollack
2nd wreck bingo 16lb cod followed by a smaller one
plus a few pollack
Thanks to my crew Gordon Phil & dean
And all the rest of the boats and crews
Cheers Dave
