Any clues on why it's happening. can you tell from the photo if the couplings knackered Can it be replaced could it be the other end thats knackered anyone had the same problem etc PJ

Soleman says "where the Teliflex steering joins on to the outboard ,the coupling that it has keeps coming off ,making steering to say the least very dangerous." Heres a picture of it. im not familiar with these, can anyone advise please? cheers PJ

i've tested the 15"prop now albeit in some pretty sloppy conditions. My rev range is 5500- 6000 with 60hp's kicking in at 5750. Lots of pluses with the new prop like getting quicker up on the plan but i've lost a couple of knts off the top speed eg:27 instead of 29- not a big deal. The revs top out at 6200 which is over the top range, can this cause damage? Will it drop when i go to two people on board? Cheers PJ

Hi Terry, Let us know when you are coming and im sure we can arrange a posse to give you the guided tour. Keep an eye on the Forum Calender and try to co 'ordinate it around one of our comps. The 48 hour summer comp is a good one as we are usually out fishing all weekend Paul J

Isn't it Bloody Typical, the first day i get Marineboy back together again and it's blowing a force 8 Still i bombed around the harbour for a bit just to test it out I went down from a 17" to a 15"prop and it spins up nicley, shame i couldn't get out and give it real go. White horses? it looked like a stampede at the run can't wait to get out and play PJ.

It's also his Wedding anniversary. I called him up and he said " im playing with my rod" i replied "it's your birthday and sorry to disturb you" He just got a new solid C rod- i think he's almost got the whole set! PJ

We used 6-8oz all day and no dragging of chains PJ

Paul, i didn't clock the speed, Mark or Rich may have. It didn't seem fast at all to me and at some parts it was too slow. Different parts of the bank had different speeds and directions, the current has some strange patterns on the shambles PJ

The Turbot

We stayed over on Nipper and met up with everyone in the morning. Rich and Mark B got pretty bladdered and as Mark was in a bouyant mood with Reading FC drawing with Man U, he ended the evening with a spot of karioyki. Very amusing for Rich and i, only wish we had a gaff to yank him off stage We went to the shambles and got a mixed bag, i had 2 turbot one of 6lb 9oz and the other barley 2lb. Mark got a small Brill and Rich got bass, cuttle, Gurnard and trillions of mackies on Turbot baits. Love going to Weymouth with these guys! many thanks to the Nippers (Rockyand Badger) PJ
