Silly question but never noticed this before, on my old 2 stroke when doing the service i noticed that when in Neutral the propeller didn't spin. Went to flush my new engine out on Sat for the first time and it spins the propeller in Neutral, Which is correct as I would expect it to spin one way for forward and the other for reverse ?????.

Im off on my first bassing trip with the boat over to west wales (Gower), have constructed my live bait tank as per the previous posts on here(cracking idea). I have now ordered my live sandeel and will be picking them up on route. what is the best way to keep them alive until I get the boat into the water and the tank flowing, and how many would I be able to keep in a 60ltr tank. Sorry for the questions but never tried specificaly targetting Bass. KK

Went to my local garage last weekend to fill up one of my fuel tanks, one of the girls came running accross to tell me I was breaking the law by filling a container with more than the 10 litre limit for a container and that even by storing that amount in a garage was illegal too. Do you get this sort of problem?. Think I'll recommend her for the jobsworth trophy.

Well done, nice fish. Little tip for you when the GPS goes down, put a little X on the side of the boat and you can find the mark every time.

The sportyak is the ideal small dinghy.Great for children, as a tender and fisherman use them for dropping bait.In harbours, lakes, rivers or garden ponds. Weighing only 19Kg (42lb) it is easily handled alone. Its catamaran hull gives good stability, it is made of polyethylene and foam filled. This dinghy comes with 2 oars, 2 rowlocks and brackets Orange / White

Jetting off for a few days to the states, have seen a few good priced plotters on basspro site and was curious if these would be ok for UK use or are they set for different voltage etc. KK

It appears that Nylon can absorb water, something like 10% of it's weight, don't know how this would affect performance but only passing on information given in case it is of use to anyone.
-
Cheers, Wedger managed to find some fom a plastic engineering firm but they STRONGLY advised not to use nylon in that type of enviroment. So I will go back to the S.Steel idea and see what happens. KK

Oxalic Acid - Available from a Chemist in crystal form, mix with water but be carefull as it is classed as a poison !!!. Cleans GRP a treat.

AdamF, I see you had your nylon donated but do you have any idea where I can pick up a supply of this material. KK

Thanks Lookfar, thats what I was looking for, read the other posts but nowhere near as much info as you've just given me, will give it a go and see what happens

Been reading with intrest the previous post's regarding fitting a keel band to the 165's having chosen not to have one fitted when i purchased, I am now regretting it due to some nasty looking scrapes. I have sourced my S/Steel in 2 sizes 50mm & 20mm, counterinking will not be a problem as I have someone who can sort that out. Has anyone who has fitted one of these DIY bands any usefull tips on the best way to get it done, ie how far apart fixings should be, fixing size and type, sealing fixing holes, sorry to bring this topic back up but not a great deal of experiance with this sort of thing. Thanks for any assistance. Much appreciated KK

I fish the Bristol Channel as often as possible and at the moment the Cod fishing is dire, sprat shoals are in abundance and you can see the larger fish high in the water in a feeding frenzy on the sounder, odd fish are being caught, desperatly waiting for them to bugger off to bring the fishing back to a decent level.
