Keep your eyes peeled if out today #LatestNews - Search in Studland area for missing kayaker Officers searching for a kayaker who went missing off the coast along Studland are asking for the public’s help to find him. Alistair Collier, who is 60 years old and from Worcester, was taking part in a race off Studland today, Saturday 6 October 2018. He was last seen at 12pm near Swanage pier. All other participants returned at the end of the race except Alistair. HM Coastguard has been searching the area. However, so far the missing kayaker has not been located. Alistair is white, five feet two inches tall and of medium build. He has brown eyes, black greying hair and a goatee and speaks with a norther accent. He was wearing a red life jacket. He was in a white canoe with stabiliser and a blue stripe on top. Chief Inspector Heather Dixey, of Dorset Police, said: “The search for Alistair is continuing, but unfortunately we have not been able to find him. “We are urging anyone who has seen a man matching Alistair’s description or his kayak since this afternoon to contact us.” Anyone with information or knowledge as to Alistair's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 6:284. https://goo.gl/TtN27H Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

My boat is 16 feet, gets you to most places in the harbour, and the fuel is free. Not so good for off shore. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  13. Its one of the things I dread. A guy in a rib passed by a few years ago and turned around to tell me he couldnt see me with the low sun. The auto pilots scare the bejeezus out of me. And yachts always seem to come as close as possible when im at anchor? Why,? As for cameras i use an Ion Air Pro 2 Make nice videos and you can grab screen shots Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  16. My yak is 5m My anchor is a 1.5kg Bruce with 1metre of 6mm chain with a tie strap break away with 150metres of 3mm paracord. Swanage is the only place I lose anchors but at 9 quid each it's not too much drama. Cheers Jim Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  20. In my hunt for stingrays I had a nice by catch on my huge rag baits. My mate weighed it on his electronic scales at 2,12 after taking off for his mesh bag. Also had a lot of fun on the smuts. Nice to get a fish on the board, although it'll get beaten by loads of undies this month[emoji23][emoji23] Returned to grow much bigger Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

That's what I thought. But it was gold and very green. Much more eel like than a conger tying itself up in knots. Shouldn't have given my fish I.D book to a chum Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
