I am just specing out my new boat and was thinking of fitting a 1000 watt inverter so I can run a microwave and kettle on board. Has anyone any experiece of these on boats - Is ther any likelihood of problems with battery drain or oveloading wiring? Any thoughts much appreciated Thanks Peter

What Time do club meetings start?

I've been tempted by one of these at the boat show today - before I confimr my order has any one expereince of these boats - this one is a new 19-6'' model Are there any issues with build quality it Ce categroy c7 would this be up to Channel Island trips? Any comments appreciated Thanks Peter

Many Thanks Mike, Sounds like sound advice - There was indeed a brisk South Easterly when we came back in - guess the moral of the story is always have enough fuel to go the very long way round if necessary! Thanks Peter

I recently took the course inside Portland race to fish the west side which was fine even thought the race was decidedly uncomfortable. Coming back on the start of the ebb round pulpit rock sea was starting to become lumpy. Is it always safe to travel round here or are there states of the tide to avoid?

Hello all I've just paid to become a memeber. I currently keep my warrior 175 at Portland sailing school. I know a few obvous marks like the shambles but have struggled to find the fish a bit down here. Could any one offer some marks particuarly rough ground fro huss and conger also numbers for Kidney Bank. Thanks in Anticipation
