I have got one in silcone , one in a in hull cup thing which is glassfibre fixed and filled with veg oil and a screw lid and the last one for my wreckfinder was drilled and fitted by Richard at holes bay marine this also turns inside a skin fitting to face forward or side veiw and all work well

thankyou all the link on the other thread shows some of the bulbs i use but in led so i need to check they will be man enough for the job i will have to get the blurb off the bulb on the boat and maybe give one a try as the starboard/port lights face mainly forward and side they may do the job and the lamp that you have mark looks great

Did not want to hijack battery thread
so can i use these leds bulbs to run my nav lights to work with the coloured lens on the units they are festoon type bulbs any help would be great

I have just got a blue top batt made by optima for starting the outboard only so it is not deep cycle has anyone had anything to do with these as i have been told they are good the one i got is 12v 50 ah

On foxy fisher too i have navman hd digital radar now named northstar and very happy with it and seems to be better to read when i put it on overlay on the plotter screen but i should use it more in good weather to get more familiar with what i am looking at so when the bad weather comes i can be hopefuly on the ball

I have 2 plotters , radar ,ais transponder whitch shows my boat to others with ais but would not plan to be in bad fog from the start if it happens when out then i hope the toys will bring me home safe

I have my boat at cobbs and use it much more than when i towed it , as i live in salisbury i spent most of the day towing and waiting to get it on and off at baiter now i can walk down the pontoon start up and go great
