  1. I have added a search function provided by Google. We will earn money from its use ( not sure how much yet but better than nothing ). It allows you to search the site as well ( or at least Google's copy of the site ).
  2. The Time article
  3. Has anyone noticed the subtle change to the Southern Motor Boats banner ?
  4. "I know you said you liked living on the edge but isn't this taking it a little far ?"
  5. and to do that just open it in mspaint and then use image/stretch-skew entering the same value for horizontal and vertical stretch each time. ( say 75% or 50% ) Select IMage Attributes to see the size each time. progressively shrink the image until it is within 80x80.
  6. I forgot ! In there now if anyone wants to come in .
  7. Nice to see you and Rich out there today. Shame the slack water came just as we got there. We had been fishing a rough patch ( appeared to be some sort of wreckage ) to the west of the Clan. No sooner as we had downed anchor ( I hope we werent too close to you ) we hit a slack period then the boat turned from the gulley that you were fishing - just my luck. Still I was glad to wet a line at all today !
  8. Had an eventful ( if not fishful ) day. Up at 5:15 AM and off to Emsworth at 5:30. Cleared frost from car and off I went. Got to Emsworth early. Westray was all ready to go. Steve turns up with his fishing buddies and we head out the marina. getting to the sill ( which keeps the marina full of water at low tide ) and Steve shouts "What is the height stick by the sill reading ? ) "One" is the reply as in "One Foot". We go for it but only make it halfway over the sill - no way is this boat going fishing. Boat is now stuck on the sill with a fast retreating tide ( ref. pics elsewhere ). We make our way from the boat along the sill and I drive back home. Could still go fishing though, so phone up Charlie and crew is arranged ( Sam and Daniel ). Drive over to Poole and launch at 11 AM. Off to mark near the Clan Mcvey where we have pout after pout plus an unbelievably small whiting, then Sam catches a really nice sized lobster. Splash Out and Coddie ( with Rich ) were fishing the McVey so headed over to fish that way, but nothing showing as the tide slackened - had another small whiting. Was getting well tired by now and others headed back, so made way back to Poole - saw Ginsky coming back in. Engine still running like s*it but I cant be worried about it as new one will be ordered next week. - cant wait. Still good to get out.
  9. Hay Bob, as I posted elsewhere - you were worrying about the bar - this is how my trip ended ...
  10. Oh dear

    New Engine

Have been down to L&J Marine - seen the job they have done on Enticer - Looks good with the new E-Tec. Had a good chat with them and servicing is around
  12. As so many people are off fishing this Sunday, how about everyone trying out the chat client to discuss the day's catch ( and anything else that comes to mind ). So access the Chat program under the Modules section Tomorrow - Sunday - from 8PM
  13. Trevor, Thanks for the offer, but I have it very stringly stiched up. Photo of the finished article here - ( not fantastic but anyone tried taking a picture of a net ! )
  14. Trevor, I totally missed this post - just found it when I went to writeon landing net details. Landing Net is rigged up and I think looks awesome ( Awesomely big anyhow ! ). I havent got a picture yet but will take one and you can see my "handiwork". I probably could have tied it to the frame a little better and I sewed up the side using a piece of netting cut into a single strip ( as I had no twine suitable ). Worked a treat. Picture to follow Downside it is bigger than my previous net and harder to stow away on the boat, so now I need to rig together a landing net holder
  15. Admin ( ie. Me ) have to approve submitted links - for obvious reasons.... The problem is there is nothing there. Could you re-submit the link ( I know it works as I submitted one using another account ). cheers Paul
  16. There is a new page called "Web Links". If you want a category adding then post here. If you have links that you think will benefit members then Use teh Web Links page to send the link. The links will then build up into a useful page of fishing / boat / weather or whatever related internet links and will all be in one - easy to find place ( as opposed to scattered around the forum ).
  17. I presume the prop has no "dinks" in it and hasn't hit bottom at all - that can cause vibrations. You dont go out of Christchurch I presume
  18. I logged into the site from work, logged in and viewed soem stuff then closed the browser down. My work colleague ( Westray ) then browsed the site. Reason I know this was because when I opened the page it gave me a page stating that "Westray" was logged on - he wasnt of course, it was me. A refresh showed that it was me on there. What causes this is we use a Proxy server which keeps a copy of the page in its cache. ( Refresh causes the proxy server to update its copy of the page ). Now back to fishing ...... ( Well I thought it was interesting )
  19. Simon, Try these :- Select Tools / Internet Options / Connections Tab / Lan Settings. Is the "Use a Pfroxy Server" ticked. If so uncheck it and try then. Try Tools / Internet Options / Settings and change the setting to "Check for newer stored pages - every visit to the page". Shutdown IE and then open again. If fixed then set back to automatic. Do you use MSN Messenger ? - If so you could send me a "remote assistance" request and I can try to see what is causing this.
  20. Lets hope so Kam as I haven't been able to replicate the error Simon is seeing.

As you will probably have seen - it works fine. EasyUp is no more now though - use "UploadIt", you can see what is in the upload folder as well then. By the way :- Whose Arvor is this :- Is it Pal-O-Mine ? Whose Arvor

    Welcome Westray

Good to see you have joined up on the forum at long last Steve. Next stop is club membership Looking forward to fishing those "hot spots" on Sunday.
  24. You can now see the images which have been uploaded and can upload boat / Fish pictures using UploadIt from the front page modules menu. PS: When uploading boats could you post / e-mail to let me know what boat it is as it is not possible to tell on a couple there already.

    Submit Story Page

Jack, HTML tags are basically what is used to create web pages. You can use them to format your text ( eg. New Paragraph is <P> and end paragraph is </P> ). If you submit a story you can put these tags around the text. ( eg. <H1> means header top level </H1> means end header ) So writing <H1> This is the Header </H1> <P> And first paragraph </P> <P> and second paragraph </P> would look like this This is the Header And the First paragraph And the second paragraph. URL tags are how you write links to go to other pages. Dont worry about these as I dont think you would be writing any in an article I bet you wish you hadn't asked
