  1. Paul, They are 450 x 450 size ( my mistake - just checked outside )
  2. Yes they are the Buff ones. Interested ?
  3. Still got these on the front drive. Anyone want to make me an offer ?
  4. Totally agree Dave. The meat is even contaminated, so can only be eaten once per month.
  5. Not condoning this one bit - far from it. However, the original note has some facts wrong and it is important to get the facts correct. Worth checking out this link :- Link and this one Wiki

Kashmir - Stanpit. By far the best balti in Christchurch - IMHO

    Petty or What

They are not on HSBC's list for some reason
  8. Took my daughter for a nice curry in Christchurch this evening. Got back in the car and find someone has stolen the wiper blades off it. Petty or what ! Now I have to drive to Eastleigh in the morning to get the things fixed ( as long as not raining ). There are some sad ba*?rds in the world
  9. Checked mine - It was fine apart from the fence panel leaning on it
  10. I assume the post in "Jokes" section is deliberate, given the weather forecast !
  11. Saw Gastronaught heading back home through the traffic around the peanut roundabout in Christchurch. Looked pretty blowy by the time you got back and the traffic was awful was it not.

Sorry, I was unable to make the meeting, unfortunately working to help sort out the postal system ! Sounds like it was a really interesting meeting and a real shame to miss it.

    COP specs

Colin, I work up the road from Northney Marina, so if you need it collecting let me know. ( Especially with the postal strikes )

Agree with Rob re: timeouts. You don't have any problems uploading videos of me playing eels as I always keep the video short

    sat?

Mike, How about a spot of night fishing Sat eve ? Thinking of going out Sat PM and returning around midnight.

    rod holders

Mike, Didn't realise you now have an Orkney 520 - I am sure you will have fun with her. Re: Rod holders I assume you have siderails fitted ? I have stainless steel rod holders attached to the rails at the front and the berkeley adjustable ones at the rear. Also have drainpipe holders fitted to the bottom of the seats at the rear which are fine for holding rods whilst under way. ( Just buy some drainpipe and cut to suit ) . The adjustable plastic holders have been fine but I had to cut down the clamp to make think enough to grip the handrail tightly.
  18. Very good. Got the first one wrong, more careful with the second one and got it correct. Maths one got correct. Was getting smug then but not for long as got all the others wrong
  19. No rays on Neo either. Set off around 7 AM and heard Otter's problems. Found trevor off the beachhuts and then spent around 45 mins - 1 hour attacking the rope wrapped around Otter's duoprop. This was not at all easy and if condition s had been lumpy would have been nigh on impossible. My crewman James did a sterling job cutting away the rope around the prop and nearly ended up over the side once as well. Still, all ended well when we saw Otter's props turning again and that is part of being in the club assisting others in need. We needn't have worried about missing any fishing time, since it was dire. We managed more dogfish than I could count plus a solitary starry smoothhound to James. Still, nice day to be out.
  20. I shal be fishing the comp with non club member James onboard.
  21. The specimen size is indeed 2lb 8oz ( I think it was changed in the past from 3lb if I recall ). The catch reports database on the website uses 2lb 8oz to calculate the percentage specimen size - so the new specimen percentages calculated by the website are correct ( as in to Area D - NFSA/Angling Trust ) When the current record holder flounder was caught the specimen size probably was 3lb and the % weight was as shown. I guess this could be recalculated when a bigger fish is caught ? - but will leave Adam to decide its fate :0
  22. If considering Porthcawl then you may want to consider www.boatinsure.co.uk since they are Lloyds based Amlin Insurance Services who strangely are the same people / insurance company who Porthcawl sent me detals for - Only went direct online as it was far more convenient. Easy - online no need to phone anywhere ( although I did once as lost login details ) and slightly cheaper ( no middle man ). Works for me - but then I have never had to claim. Just read policy and can't see any limit on underwater gear - but it is covered for UK and coastal waters only - but then I can't see Neo going cross channel ( well not intentionally ! )
  23. and belated wished from me too. "Cold blast form the south and high winds" - Sounds just like you haven't left the UK !
  24. These now posted ( pinned ) and the club records list updated. I have pinned the comp rules to the top of this forum.
