I am pretty sure they do not have a SATA connector ( they are around 7 years old I believe ) so the drive you mention will NOT work You could use the USB port to add a USB external drive I think but then it is probably not USB2 so will be slower. Buying Guide

Ive managed to snap two ultraflex cables now, The E-Tec engine is a bit heavy for the lighter Teleflex cable ( I have only the 40HP one ) and it was recommended to me to get the heavy duty one next time. Seen them cheaper on e-bay ( Need cable and steering hub if getting heavy duty one but mine is well worn anyhow )

Charlie, Just Perfick will likely have 6 for the restaurant I suspect.

My work colleague has an Orkney 23 old style Pilot House and gets 20 - 23 knots or so out of it but cruising around at 16/17 knots is best He has a Honda 130 on the back at the moment but is just getting ( I can picture Tom now ... ) an ETEC 115

For information and following comments from the last club meeting with regard to the way fish reports had been logged accidentally in the future, I have added a check on the catch reporting to ensure that the date of capture is before the date of recording. So if you see an error message when you attempt to record your catch just usethe browser back button and put the correct date in ( or whatever the error message tells you to do ! )

I always remember the quote : "How many of these would you like ?" "I'll take the shelf please !"

Done. ( The list here ) - The main page is a bit / lot more - trickier, so will take some more time. For info, have also added a check to the Catch Reporting to ensure that the date of the reported catch is not in the future, so that problem will no longer occur.

Why don't you like close sleeping quarters with an ass ........OOoops........... Sorry meant to say fuel DONKEY Have you had the pleasure of hearing him snore!!! cause I have and I was at the other end of the digs in Alderney Tomo Ah - but I have had the pleasure of hearing drunken "map readings" ! and I was on the floor below !!

Might also help to mention that this thread is now on page 3 if you search for "Bluewater Horizons Poole" in Google ....... The wonders of the internet. Ditto here ( Electonics Engineer ) with regard to your GPS to VHF - if you let us know what models they are can probably get the information from their website. Hooking them up is really a fairly straightforward job ( if not confusing as Steve says ).

Mike, Sounds appalling to me. I would not accept the removal of a stainless prop to be replaced by an aluminium one - the price difference is huge, so this is just theft of your property. Ditto with the battery. It would be akin to taking your car in for a service and having the stereo replaced for some battered old cassette player. It is surely illegal.

Wayne Bridge sent his missus a replica of his ***** made from Cadbury's chocolate, but she sent it back and said she prefers Terry's Ashley Cole was asked to explain why he was speeding at up to 130mph.... He replied "I got a phone call to say that John Terry's car was parked outside my house." Hmmm

Neal, I think Undulate Rays are not allowed to be landed by commercials ( at least from what I read on their web site ? ) Another angle on it though - If we as recreational anglers do not provide information to allow the setting up of protected areas ( which is the ultimate end I think ) then these will possibly be set up in the wrong places. The commercials probably know where most of the fishing spots are anyhow and they are not looking for exact location details - just general areas to prove the decline or whatever. If we as RSA's dont help then we will, once again, be leaving it to the commercials to set the agenda. IMHO.

Received the following. ====================== RE: Shark Trust and Heritage Lottery Fund angler recording project. The Shark Trust, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is currently initiating a project with the angling community of the south west to record the shark, skate and ray biodiversity of the region. For the project, we are asking charter boats and individual anglers to record the species of sharks, skates and rays they encounter and in which areas they are found. The data will be made accessible to local communities through Biodiversity Records Centres where it will help to bolster understanding of inshore shark populations. The information supplied will be handled sensitively and will not be used in a manner that will enable the identification of specific marks. The ultimate goal of this project is to ensure a sustainable future for the regions marine ecosystems and the sea angling sector. The Shark Trust supports the angling community, where best practice is followed, and recognises the sports importance to the economy of the south west. While we realise the importance of the knowledge anglers hold to marine management, we also know that they are constantly being asked to record their catches for different projects. We feel that this project is particularly important due to the massive declines that have been seen in the number and size of most sharks, skates and rays being caught. Understanding these declines is vital to reversing them. If you would like to get involved or would like more information, please contact me at rich.hurst@sharktrust.org or on 01752 672020. More information about the project can be found at Shark trust Project. If you would like to know more about the Shark Trust and our activities, please visit the website at www.sharktrust.org. Please feel free to forward this e-mail to anyone who may be interested in the project. Yours sincerely, Rich Hurst Conservation Assistant
