a friend of mine is looking for a second hand rod and reel in the 50-80 pound class, if anybody has any for sale perhaps you could send me the details and prices.
thanks andy
with the sea conditions not the best it was a 7 knot motor out to the far banks, when anchored it was plenty bumpy but it was worth it with a 141/2 llb thornback which sets a new record for the boat. we both took the praise for this one as it was daves rod but on the basis he was saying goodbye to his breakfast it fell to me to get it get it up and onboard.
on the way back we anchored up and had some starrys to finish off with the added bonus of a few more dogfish.

more advice please,
not having ever tried to fish with rapalas before could someone point me in the right direction please mainly about the rapalas as rod and reel i have.
and best place to source etc,
thanks andy
we anchored up on the ledge at seven and were straight into fish for about an hour but as the tide turned the fish tap was turned off.
next move was onto a mark near totland and straight away the starrys blessed us with there presence.
so to sum it up some hectic and some very quiet times but still a good day to be out on the water.
bream just over 3 ilb
starrys 8 ish ilb
cheers andy
keep an eye on the split pins that hold the wobble wheels on.
i noticed one that had rusted out, had i not the 3/4 tube would have made a gouge.
i have now replaced most of them as they were all getting close to going. my trailer is only 21/2 years old.
cheers andy
be carefull,
in the wrong conditions you could end up with the boat in the back of your car!
if it turns out bad and the tide is on your side you can use the slip on the inner harbour to recover.
all slips seem to have there own little problems.

ive uploaded some photos and cant find them?
please could admin let me know what ive done wrong or does it take a long time for them to show in the album ?
