Ragdoll got a reaction from iansimpson63 in Alderney 2021...
Even though I've only met a couple of guys in passing along f pontoon I'd absolutely love to be involved in going to alderney if any one ever sorts a trip out there! I can chip in with the fuel costs I'm not worried about making tea and I'm hardly ever sea sick unless it's proper rough swell above 2 inches or so 🤣 no only joking ... if there's ever a chance to come out on some ones boat I'd jump at the chance and be part of the crew if needs be . I got a mca boat masters license if that's any help too lol

I'll need to book time off work so are we saying 3rd July onward for a trip? I'll book the week off and go when / if a 3 day window allows?
It's been years since we did a proper PBSBAC convoy over to Alderney so would be good to get a few boats together - it's the furthest most of us will get this year for a holiday!

First Competition for a while, Bream seem to be showing thank goodness. Hopefully all the usual names will be putting there names down and more importantly some new names. It’s always good fun and if you are new to the club you usually get to meet a few members if not chat on channel 6. Any one not sure about how it all works or even how to catch Bream give me a call or message me ( I haven’t caught a Bream this year yet🙄🙄) I will put another reminder up next week, this is just to give you time to build up Brownie points with her indoors!!

Low tide at Whitecliff, wish I'd been there a few days earlier for the really low tide.

No, at Kimmeridge. Go past Old Harry then past Peveril continue past St Albans. Probably better to go with another Club Boat who knows the tides and likely effect of weather conditions as some of the Headlands can really rough up. I have had to turn back or leave early due to inaccurate forecasts.
If you go there, it is about 12 miles from the Shambles Buoy. Go a short distance past St Albans and before Kimmeridge.
If you go just past Kimmeridge you need to be aware of the Firing Range and the times when they operate. You can phone or contact them at Range Control on Ch 16 or 10.
