  2. Which member owns the boat in the back ground
  3. Paul and I steamed out a little later than the main flotilla of boats. After an uneventful cruise out at around 18knots we arived on the mark for 10:15am Fishing shads on short rigs We managed 4 cod and 3 pollack on that mark but fishing was slow so a move was in order. Firstly I put in the wrong co-ords for our next mark but as it happened there was a bank on exactly the wrong numbers so we gave it a go. I fished feathers to try and get some mackerel and another cod decided to grab them Time was getting on and I really wanted to try a little wreck fishing so we steamed over to the now corrected co-ords and found the wreck straight away. First drop and bang a nice pollock of 9/10lb caught on hockeye's intended for mackerel but I am not complaining So then it was the long steam home in the company of "Blue Warrior" So the best fish for me caught on legitimate tackle was a cod of 6lb 9oz and for Paul a cod of 6lb-4oz both weighed at home on ere indoors kitchen scales. 4. Dan Brilliant news will be good to see Pebble dash on the water Why pebble dash? are you a plasterer? Have a good holiday....bet you can't wait to get back Martin
  5. Hi Billy We are going to let it run for a day or two more to give everyone a chance to order then work out the quantities. Would it be pos for you or Rich to collect the order for us? Perhaps when Rich is making one of his flying visits he could land at mine enroute home to deliver them The club will reimburse whoever picks up the kit but we do need a receipt for club records. If its easier I can forward a cheque prior to collection of the order. Let me know the best way to play it Cheers Martin
  6. I have crew for Saturday but am still looking for someone to crew on Sunday Post here, email or phone me if interested Martin
  7. Thanks for sorting out a good deal for us Jack. I will leave this thread running for a few more days to get orders in then arrange for collection. Those that need items posting to them would obviously have to allow for postage in determining whether it is worth their while or not, others can pay cod at a club meeting Cheers Martin

  13. Will What boat are you getting? Regarding crewing etc use the boat buddy section of the forum to arrange trips. I know you tried with Kam but unfortunately that fell through. Bear in mind that each skippers weather threshold is different and rightly so as size of boat, comfort, distance to travel and a load of other issues come into the decision making equation. So keep trying and I am sure at some point you will get out with one of us. Better still increase your chances by joining the club. Its only
  14. Charlie Sorry to pre-empt you but I can't help myself Might be an idea for the benefit of those that havent access to the forum to clarify the point at this weeks meeting Duncan Have you forgot something......you have to catch one first Martin
  15. Coddy We are a Poole Based club and so fall as you say area D. For all club records and comps this is the specimen sizes we use wherever you launch from. If you however enter a fish for an nfsa award the area used by them would be the port you departed from Glad you brought this up as it might save some debate later Martin

  21. Terry Simon is correct with the description of where the nursery area. It is good practice to put big old Bass back as they are the breeding stock and anyhow the smaller (legal size) bass taste infinately better Martin
  22. Dean, Gordon and I went West to fish off of Dancing Ledge. The ride around there was uncomfortable with Dean at the helm beating the c**p out of my back but we got there in one piece. When we arrived it was a bit lumpy but fishable although the wind over tide was not ideal we settled down to some serious Bream fishing. Over went the baits and Dean was almost immediately into a nice fish that was certainly fighting like a Bream. It darted around bucking his rod and then it appeared, a nice fish of around 3.5lb. That
