PJ, Hard to tell without seeing it....it sounds like the spacer is not on or working correctly, obviously the prop is grabbing the nut when it rotated and it's thread is acting with a cutting action. I would take it back to PR next week....in the meantime their is a spare prop same as yours here if you want to borrow it. Adam

  7. Yes it is - a problem I feel?
  8. Mark - we saw you. Wasnt too sure if it was you or not, couldnt see the boat name. Will come over next time!
  9. Spot on Martin. Weather isnt looking fantastic - Ill be guided by Peter and Charlie whether we fish or not. Bream will be the target for the Burnham guys.
  10. Sorry Jimbo - its a no go for me - work commitments. Shame would have loved to have come.
  11. I commented to PD that when Jimbo and I started fishing this mark 4 years ago that we seldon saw many other boat on there! How different on Sunday - I couldnt even find a spot to drop anchor! With all that commotion I decided to play my other secret card and try another mark I had, but not fished for a few years. It worked all right and proved to be a good plan instead of being a sheep. Rach and I caught Bream, Pout, Wrasse and pollock steadily throughout the 3 hours we fished before the dreaded 'mal de mar' took hold of rach. We spent the afternoon bashing schoolies on spinners in the harbour. Surprize of the afternoon was 2 bull huss taken on bream tackle - the best went juts over 5lb! Adam
  12. Give me fat fresh bacon, wild boar sausages and fried eggs wrapped in a bap anyway - all washed down with a mug of tea!
  13. This is a combined event this year - the PBSBAC Bream comp and the Burnham to Poole leg of the comp on the same day. You are of course free to fish the bream comp anywhere in club waters within the usual rules, but if you wish to boost the numbers and combine the two events you will need to be at Baiter Slipway for booking in at 8am. The bream comp is free, but
  14. Skin drain fittings come fron chandlers, the drain tap from homebrew shops. Sorry for the short reply - pretty hectic at the moment!
  15. RESULT! Picked up Paul D who kindly offered to help - at Wick, 10.30am - by 11am we were drifting the ledge and by 12 we had 50 plump fresh macky in the cooler iced down - we were back on the slip by 12.30 and home for 1pm! All ready to feed them to the hungry turbies in the CI's!!
  16. Just on my way out now - aim is to bag 50 or so decent macky for this week. Ill let you all know how I get on!
  17. Have a good one chaps! All the best - Adam
  18. Just a thought for those going on the trip....we dont have any macky? The usual plan is to get a few on the way out, but as the wind looks to be building through the morning we may wizz straight over. Options: 1.) We could buy frozen, a few packs each would be a start or.. 2.) I could try and get out tommorow for a box of fresh ones - weather and wind dependant. Anyone else going out - donations gratefully recieved! Adam
  19. Its holding as you state above Tom. All of the forecasts I can see are giving Weds - Friday pretty nice, just windy on Tues. Worst I have seen is XC weather - usually pretty good as takes its readings from the channel light vessel - F5 midday on Tues. I think maybe an early start to break the back of it and then fish the deeps, leaving only a short run into Braye should it turn bad? Getting excited now - however its the worst time as we watch the forecasts update hour on hour. Worst still I cant go out tommorow to take my mind off it! Adam
  20. Look forward to seeing her out their Trev - and maybe fishing aboard her - I must admit I still fancy one... She's looking good though - does she have new anti-foul now?
  21. Try: N50 41.189 W1 47.811 Only a rough guess from my chart, but should be near. Its pretty rough, smooth all around and usually has a few pot buoys on it. Adam
  22. Barbs for table fish - no barbs for sport fish.
  23. Windguru are giving 4/5 Southerlies on tues with it getting better all week with 1/2 and 3's on the other days - Friday is looking the best. Metcheck is giving pretty much the same. Weather is looking to be a mixture of sunshine and showers with a little cloud. ....cant wait now! Finished work as well!!
  24. Due to a (very ) late cancellation I have one space going spare on the clubs trip to Alderney next week. We leave on Tues 2nd May and return on Friday 5th. Cost is

Guys - Please see the reply below from Jim Whippy - BFM editor: Hi Adam, Thanks for the email and the link to the club site. Have read all the comments and must say I agree with most of them. We have had a difficult time with UK features this winter and when you've kept a space for trips that are repeatedly cancelled you can't send out blank pages so foreign trips are used. My intention is to have a wide range of aticles as I've always strived to do and the UK content will be back on track in June issue. Your idea of an article using farmed trout will open a few eyes. Probably get moans from the anti live bait lobby but we editors have to take the flack so hit me with it. All the best to your club members, even 'Mad Mike' who seems the most put out, I'll have to feature him sometime to get him back on our side. Feel free to put this on the club site if you feel it will explain the situation to the members. All the best Jim Whippy
