  1. Found a bargin source of window material - Lexan Margard - 200 times stronger than glass and Margard coated - so doesnt scratch - usually
  2. Its all part of the fun Al - brekkie in the morning, followed by fishing, followed by a beer on the way home. Us trailer boys have all the fun!
  3. Al, You bet Im interested!! Can you PM me the details. I live in Verwood so only round the corner for me! Ta Adam
  4. Thanks Dave - Rockbourne is only 5 mins from where I live and I have fished it many times. I like it - 6 lakes, all different. Fish go into good sizes regularly and are not too fatty - they alos have a lovel orange flesh, not pale like alot of stocked fish. Adam

    Moorings Again

Al, You need to get in touch with the council for a mooring in Xchurch unless you go for one of the few boat yards up the river. Someone will post a link / number for Christchurch council Im sure. Re. Poole - very expensive and / or a HUGE waiting list sums it up. The nearer the entrance the steeper the price increase. Although accesability is alot better at all states of tide at Poole, I personally like the varied potential out of Xchurch - IOW one way, Poole & the west the other. Adam

    Hi

Hi Alan, I wondered when you chaps were going to join the forum / club? You may remember me from the days when I worked in Bournemouth Fishing Lodge as a nipper? Was chatting to another fat bloke (Rich @ Ringwood Tackle) last week and he mentioned that you two had bought Fraisers boat. Im sure we will meet shortly - I fish all most exclusivly from Xchurch - Blue hulled Warrior 165. Cheers Adam
  7. CLASSIC!!!! I havent laughed out load for a long while like that!!! ....of course everyone knows that red paint weighs less that yellow and therefore dont lift as well!!!
  8. Tom, I am not too sure if Alderney will go ahead in 2007 after the avarage take up this year - so this could be a possibility if enough wanted to go - would also give me a break from the organising!! A few of the guys have mentioned about doing something a bit more exotic though, so a trip for Bone fish, GT etc, etc may be worth looking at - I would like to see some costings? I also have another TS trip up my sleeve for next summer for a small number - details to follow. Christ - with my wedding next year as well it gunna be busy - best to get it in though while I still can!!!!!
  9. Go onto Chris' page and then download the fish of 2005 video - it shows all of the PBSBAC stars!!

  12. Well with talks of Monkfish etc recently on the forum, they might not be far away with catches like this! http://www.deepsea.co.uk/boats/atlanta/mor...notes_board.htm A real turn up for the books!
  13. I am planning the first trip of the year down to Weymouth in two weekends time - 26th March. I appreciate that it is Mothers Day, so numbers may be a little low, I am therefore proposing to do another trip the next weekend also. Post here is you want to tag along. Usual timings - meet at slip for 7am for a 7.30 launch. Adam
  14. Burnham have given me a list of proposed alternate dates - unoftunatly thwe ones in the coming months all require a book in ot 6.30am which is too early for us. I have another few dates in the summer but these all clash with our comps, so the only free date we have is the 3rd September - the book in is not until 11.15am so an nice late start! More details to follow nearer the time. Of course Burnham will still come to us in May. Adam
  15. Needed to get a fishy fix today regardless - so with the sea fishing all out of sorts and with Gordon justy having taken up fly fishing, we took a trip out to Holbury Lakes in the Test Valley for a few hours. Not cheap at
  16. TRIP IS POSTPONED UNTIL LATER DATE - TBA Apologies for the lateness, but we were hoping for an improved forecast at 5pm - it hasnt come and whilst there is a small chnace we could get some fishing in it is a long way to go to turn around again - far better we thought to wait until another day. I have a few dates that I will check and post for the reschedule. Adam

  18. Just spoken with Dick - he says the weather today would be Ok, but if the forecast stays as F5/6 Southerly it will be a little much - I am going to call him after 5 tonight when the Met Office update and then take a view on it then - sorry its so late, but it really is 50/50. Adam
  19. Metoffice isnt good: Outlook for the following 24 hours: Wind: southeast 5 or 6, veering south. Weather: outbreaks of rain. Visibility: good or moderate. Sea State: moderate to rough. Ill get in contact with Dick @ Burnham this afternoon....Southerly is good, but at F5/6 its pushing it....

    Sikaflex??

I now have my 5mtr length of 50mmx5mm nylon courtesy of my frindly local trout farmer ....and intend to stick it to the bottom of BW as a sacrifical keel band. As it is lighweight and nylon, I intend only to Sikaflex it into position. 1.) Is this OK, or would a few (4ish) screws along the length be better? and 2.) Where can I get some Sikaflex - how much would I need, where is the best (cheapest!) place to buy or do any of you have a bit knocking around... Ta Adam
  24. Guys, Can anyone who is coming on this trip take another angler as crew? I have a member who wishes to come along but who has a moored boat. Please post here ASAP if you can take him. Regards Adam
