  14. It seems Overdraft didn't fair much better than most. A superb day to be out but no Rays or flatfish to report. Tried banks off Swanage with dog after dog. Managed two Bream upto 2LB 10OZ. And then into the harbour on the way home for 1 1/2hrs trying the flattie bash but no return. Still never mind will try again another day.

  17. Hi Paul. Overdraft will be fishing the whole weekend with myself and Aaron (jnr) aboard. Hold tight for a decent weather forecast. Carl.
  18. Overdraft headed to C/ ledge fully armed, but we found the Bream very difficult to catch at first. The largish swell made it difficult to present the bait properly, but as the tide eased we managed a total of 13 the biggest to me at 2lb 2oz which was a male. We kept 4 males and returned the rest. When cleaning, 2 of them had been feeding on our burly, hoooray for the bomber!!!!!!!!! We also managed 2 lsd. 6 wrasse. pout & 1 garfish....... An enjoyable day.
  19. Mike. Please register overdraft for the comp. i will be with 2 non members who will also be fishing the Dolphin comp. Good luck to all. Carl.
  20. Martin. The water was alive with Mullett on Sunday all the way from Rockley to the river.
  21. Sorry, but nothing of any note to record on Overdraft, just small Bream, LSD, & Wrasse, but we enjoyed our day. Carl.
  22. Nothing much doing in the front garden, can't seem to get the flood high enough too get the lines wet. Should be back in action on the 14th, Carl.
  23. Done Carl.
  24. Left the mooring at 7.15 and decided to have a look outside just to convince myself that it was not going to be worth trying our luck with the easterly picking up, sure enough it was starting to get real snotty so about turn and off to Holes Bay. Spent the morning without so much as a bite. Headed off to Baiter to find Prodigy the flounder king on his usual mark only to hear accross the airwaves that he already had his bucket full up. Aaron (grandson) managed 2 fish one of 2lb and one of 2lb 9oz, poor old gramps could only wet the scales with one of 1lb 8oz, never mind a very pleasant day on the water.
  25. We left the mooring at 7am and headed to the mariner to sign in for the comp. at 8. Fished the best part of the day with the masses in Holes Bay with no success on the Flounder front, just a couple of Bass to keep us interested. Decided to move out to Balls lake for a last try,( confronted by Martin heading back down the channel very impressive looking straight up the bow, high out the water). Managed 1 flounder of about 2 pound, the wind whipped up into a frenzy at about 3pm so we decided to head for the weigh in. Retrieved the hook only to see a kuyak in real trouble down towards the ferry terminal. Headed down to help, he was in a bit of a state very poor attire and insufficient safely gear. Pulled him aboard and took the kuyak in tow back to lake pier, beating straight into the wind and tide took its toll on the time and we missed the weigh in. But still all got home safely.
