  1. Overdraft left the mooring at about 7 45 after bad start at home finding the bait freezer had been accidently switched off and 4 boxes of squid and 6 packs of mackerel not smelling to good. So a quick call at the Quay for fresh supplies and off we went. Out past Old Harry and a bit of a swell but not bad at all, anchor down and straight into a channel good start, but thats all it was, 2 hours later pout, pout & pout. Moved 1 mile in and bang 32 channels upto 2lb 12oz. and a few Lsd. Grandson was well pleased with the new rod (and floatation suit thanks Martin) so we headed off home in a rather cheery mood and wait for the next chance too have another go.
  2. Done.
  3. Thanks Martin thats fantastic. I have sent you a PM.
  4. Has anybody got a floatation suit that would fit a growing 13yr. old lad (my grandson) that they have either grown out of or just finished with, don't want to buy a new one due to the growth rate. I have managed to convince him that fishing is the way to go and will join him into the junior section very soon. Not necessary looking for a freebie, as small donation would be fine.
  5. Competion Postponed untill 21st due to very bad forecast.
  6. Well what a fantastic day to be afloat, the first day of winter. Headed out from Poole at about 8 15 drpped our first bait about 9 30. Infested with lsd. at first but then managed to land a few Whiting along with 2 Bass a Red Gurnard and then it finally happened after a long time waiting and trying a Cod of 14lb 12oz. sorry if i mislead anyone over the airwves but i must really learn to read the scales when i get excited. all in all a really enjoyable day.
  7. Martin. Yes please, i would like to take them off your hands as i am just changing my dingy and thats all i need to get it sorted. If thats ok i will arrange to collect. Carl.
  8. My day started out bad with my crew staying in bed (ill. Sorry petticoat govt). so not able to fish comp. I eventually made it to dancing ledge with some nice fresh macky. Three Thornbacks biggest 7lb 4oz. 2 lsd. and another string of macky.Headed back to Swanage bay in the merk but no luck there. Back on mooring 4pm, its very different fishing alone.

  12. Headed out this morning for a post holiday fix with my grandson (12). Got as far as Bournemouth but an ever increasing wind made it a little bumpy, managed afew short drifts and after a couple of small Breem and an infestation of Pout i managed to land a Red Mullett at 1lb 91/2 oz. Headed back to the entrance only to find the small Breem again. Eventually gave up at 2pm. and headed home. Its Great To Be Home???????????????
  13. Yes, got caught on the ledge with storm on a very rapid approach. Headed back across towards Bournemouth with the storm comming from SW it got a bit bumpy, but had no problem with that. The thing that caused most concerne was the lightening cracking on the water, a bit scary. What are the safety credentials of a fibre glass boat and all its fittings under these circumstances? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
