Not slagging off UK hooks but I'm really disappointed with the 9/0 treble they recommended for my Norway trip. They are just not up to standard.
They bent (fairly) easily, had one straightened out and one simply got crushed by a wolffish.
No doubt they are fine for everyday wrecking use here but simply not upto the task for the bigger fish (not that I managed to catch any.... )
Back to the rod tip, my mate lost the tip of his fladden solid carbon in Norway when someone opened the door and slammed into the rod. Is it possible to just add a rod tip to whatever is left (lost about 2-3")?
He was fishing with John Wilson on Go Fishing. I believe the record was 28lb and he caught one bouncing up and down min 29 lb. John Wilson nearly wet his pants so excited having had a british record broken on his programme.
Shame some of us think it's good to kill a fish so that they can claim a record.
Met an old man call Ronnie Webb on my trip, apparently he caught a record breaking blue shark up in Milford Haven and wouldn't kill to claim a british record. That's what I call a true fishing gentleman.
Dan, I think PJ wants the size, ie dia and pitch, if you look the the prop from the back, looking into the exhaust hole, on the small rim facing you, there should be some number stamped on there, eg, 10 3/4 x 17p.
Can't help you James, but if the computer dies, take it into the garden, plob it on a block of wood, get a pickaxe or sledge hammer and beat the sh*t out of it.
I did it once to a PC I bought off PC world which went wrong from the first month but PC World came up with so many excuses why it's not covered by warranty (i.e., I'd loaded other softwares onto it). The satifations was unbelievable, there wasn't one single micro chip intact.........
I think the official answer is that as long as it's a private boat then it's ok, or if a chartered boat, then as long as it's a freebie and not pay for it will count too.
Most of the weather sites linked to here will forecast 7-10 days ahead, but forecast changes all the time, I wouldn't take too much notices of them. Tide wise, the free prediction will only give you 7 days including today, so your prediction is only for next Sat but from the incriment, Sunday low water is around 10:00 am at X'church entrance.
Is Rob still based in Lymo? Can't find his detail on Deepsea anymore.
Straight talking bloke, tell you how it is, and will try his hardest to find you fish.
